Dear Transition Northfield Interest Group, Would you like to get credit for goods or services that you provide to the community? Would you like to receive goods or services from other community members without spending any money (in many cases)? The Northfield Community Exchange, sponsored by Transition Northfield, is now available to enable these exchanges and, in the process, add to the web of personal connections within our community. The Northfield Community Exchange is a web site that allows you to enter a list of goods or services that you'd like to give or receive. You can search the database to find exchanges that you are interested in and (after you contact another member and perform an exchange) record the exchanges you receive from another member. The system keeps track of your account balance in hours; everyone starts out with a credit of 25 hours to use. There is a one-time administrative fee of $10 (or $5 if that is too much) to set up your account. For more details about the Community Exchange or to request a membership, please go to: http://transitionnorthfield.org/commex and click on the link "About This Exchange". (Soon there will be a link to this on the main Transition Northfield web site, too.) We hope to meet you through some exchanges! Paul Sebby
