Joanne Poyourow, of Transition Los Angeles, is a wonderful writer and  
Energy Bulletin today has a blog entry she wrote about what a  
Transition Initiative is, what is their purpose, and some tips for  
running an Initiative.  The article happens to touch on a number of  
the themes that came up at our TN meeting yesterday, such as:

"I have often said that the EDAP (Energy Descent Action Plan) is what  
distinguishes a Transition Initiative from 'just another green  
organization.' While we have barely begun our EDAP process in L.A.,  
we're very aware that it is our reason for being."
